Ready, set...red!
Feb03Its a little obvious because its February and Valentine's Day so I thought I would post some accessories in red for a little fun. On my other blog today (http://www.monacointeriors.blogspot.com) I talk about my love of red and how I love to add a little to every room. Its a great punchy color and adds zest whether its an all-white or neutral room. I would love to have the world globe in my living room! and the iconic Vivienne Westwood pillow would be provocative in any room too. If you fear red, start with something small, like a a vase, a lampshade or a pillow. You just may end up loving it!
Light fantastic...
Jan28Wow! these lamps are spectacular! not to mention the nifty nightlights to keep dark hallways lit...the Balanced Stone lamp would look great in any room you want to add some texture to, as well as the Root of the Earth Candelabra. This would look great as a dining room centerpiece, while the beautiful glass globes would be a fit in a living, family or bedroom. The Trophy Lamp looks so traditional, it would look great in a castle living room in Scotland. What style statements these are...turn a drab corner into a feast for the eyes!
Pitcher perfect...
Jan20These beautiful pitchers are a kitchen essential...I had a gorgeous Danish glass pitcher that unfortunately broke and I was devastated because it was so delicate and liquids looked, somehow, more pretty in it. I love using a pitcher either large or small for milk so you don't have to lug a big gallon of milk to pour into your coffee or tea. The modern shape of the green pitcher is unique and I especially love the black pitcher from Le Creuset - so chic!
Chic sheets...
Jan13Try saying that three times fast!...I must be tired or thinking about sleeping because these sheets are all delicious-looking!! I want all of them for my bed...Anthropologie seems to 'do' the textiles thing very, very well...and not exactly budget-friendly but if you feel like a splurge...the food-related 'lemons' set are my fave...which ones will you be zzzzz'ing on??
Puppy love...
Jan06Ok, not only do I love this store, Ballard Designs, but having grown up with a lovely little brown dachsund as our family dog, these prints really struck me as a great way to add something unique to your home. There are many different breeds represented so just choose your favorite! Animals are a great addition to any lifestyle and as you can tell, I love them dearly. If you can't get a dog in real life, pick up one of these beauties to look at every day!!

I will be welcoming 2010 with open arms and glad to say goodbye to 2009...wishing everyone success, happiness and good fortune (just a few things!) - may the force be with you all year long...
